What a perfect September day.
Again, the last couple of weddings, all you hear is details about the weather, and this one was again perfect, sunshine and in the mid 70's.

Working at the Scranton Cultural Center was awesome. What a place. So much room to work, event with 230 guests, Rob and I, Lettieri, that is, were able to work the room easily,

This is the third year that the Share The Harvest festival in Milford has been hosted by The Laurel Villa Country Inn. Thank you.

This year it almost didn't happen. An hour before, an emergency radio signal alerted us to a wicked storm passing through town. Had visions of food/tents and people being hurled around.

Somehow, just before the start, the sun came through, the clouds left and we were blessed with an amazing evening.

Thank you again to ALL those who participated, to those who won prizes and to those whore worked behind the scenes. To all the donors and food folks who were part of the event

It was great being part of it all.

It's aways great to get referral weddings. Janna's friend Deborah had asked me to video her wedding day last year She suggested that I shoot her friend, Jenna's wedding.

We probably had the best weather day of the year. Blue skies with a light breeze. An outdoor ceremony near the water, surrounded by family and friends.

Afterwards, the staff at the Inn at Longshore provided a wonderful reception. Great music and the party was on..

Dina Bucholz is an avid Harry Potter fan. When the books came out, she read them to her kids. She became intrigued with the British food that was so much part of the plot.

So began her food quest. It took two years to find an agent, a publisher and in a couple of weeks her book will be released. The title.
"The Unofficial Harry Potter Cookbook", by Dina Bucholz, published by Adams Media

She is so proud.

How did Dina find me? I videotaped her sisters wedding a few years ago. The family liked my work.

This is Dina's first published work and it's awesome.

Congratulations Dina. It was fun.

James from J-Angelo Events had asked me to be part of the volunteer group that was planning The Wedding in Milford,Pa.

On a hot weekend in July when I had no commercial weddings, it was great to be part of the United Way volunteer team.

From cake makers to musicians, to all the actors in the "play" we had were part of this years fund raiser for United Way in Pike County.

Thank you to the Tom Quick Inn for hosting the event and to all those who were part of the event. It was alot of fun.

Wow.. What a weekend.. the weather on saturday was spectacular. The town was packed.. You just had to park the car and walk and enjoy the music. As you went from venue to venue you could hear the different tunes...

84 West jammed them in at the old lumberayd courtyard and the rock band, White Light had passers by rocking to the tunes in the grounds of the Harrington House.

Sorry I didn't get to all the venues but this year the entire weekend was awesome.. many thanks to all those folks behind the scenes for all their work and to all the musicians. Robert Knowles Media, Milford/NYC

What a great day.

Gina booked me a while back so her day finally arrived. From the moment we arrived at her house to the end of the reception, it was a fun filled event.

Folks came from all over, from Italy, yes, including her 3 aunts who stayed in her house the week prior, baking cookies for the wedding!!

NYC VISIT..june 2010

New York City in June.. Wow..
This past weekend was my wife, Marianna's birthday. My sister and her husband were spending a few days in the city so we decided to overnight and have dinner with them.

My wife had worked at 30 Rock, when we lived in the city.

Times Square is now mainly filled with pedestrians , Its awesome for the visitor but awful if you are delivering packages.

So if you visit, check out the W hotel in Times Square, The Iroquois Hotelel on 44th.

Visit the Time Warner Center at Columbus Circle, it used to be a garage when we lived in the city.

All in all a wonderful 2 days in NY with family.

MG DRIVERS CLUB... Cliff Park Inn, Milford, Pa

My first brand new car was an MG. Not only was it a new car but it was an MG. British racing greeen with a tan interior.


I remember the day I drove it away from the dealership in Surrey, UK. It was a sunny day and I took the top down, gingerly driving it for the first few miles, I headed to Richmond Park, a few miles away. It was awesome. Cost 2,750.00 Pounds... or about $4,500.0.


The following month I got a job with the Cunard line as one of their ships photographers. I kept the car garaged for the next 4 years. When I returned to the UK during my honeymon trip we were able to use the car for the month that we were in the UK. A few months later, I sold the car. It only had 5000 miles on the clock. So when 40 or so MG cars appeared at the Cliff PArk Inn in Milford, Pa, some 30 years later, I was on hand to take a few shots of the cars.
It was like stepping back in time and I spotted my car, no it wasn't mine but identical in color and model.

One of the cars was a 2003 model, an Mg TF series built in 2003. Shipped over by an owner, and for the next 4 weeks is being driven around the county and Canada. Nice job, Roger and drive carfeully.

Putting the Park back into Park Avenue... NY corporate atriums and how they replenish the senses amid miles of concrete was another one of my favourites.

Cars.. Hybrids.. Electric..Flex fuel and diesels.. All the technology.. ABS.. stability control..

Plus the design.. At this years show, Buick had some really great looking cars... Hyundai is on a roll with its new Sonata.

VW.. Well I'm on third VW, the current car is a gem. Over 30 mpg on the highway with 200hp on tap..a range of nearly 530 miles!! What more do I need.

Bringing back the Magic.. The Milford Theater

Every once in awhile, one is part of project that just feels right. I am so pleased to have been included in the "groundwork' of the Re-birth of the Milford theater.

Davis Chant of Chant Realty grew up in Milford and remembers the days when he used to cycle to the theatre and sometimes see movies on fridays/saturdays and sundays! The cost 15cents.

Last September, I was part of a wonderful family's wedding. Yesterday, I received an email from the bride telling me that her father had just passed away. Wow.. What a storm.. In days gone by, I would have been going crazy.. housebound for two days. but I heeded the warnings and stayed put..

Caught up on some reading, emails, story ideas, backgammon and watched movies.

They closed I-84, some were stranded overnight on the road!

I don't know about you but I have the toughest time staying organized when it comes to family photos and videos. It takes me forever to get the video off of the DVD camera and onto a DVD we can watch on TV and all of my pictures are still sitting in the packaging from where I had them developed. I was referred to Robert Knowles of Knowles Multimedia in Milford about one year ago. He transferred the first 1.5 years of my daughter's life from the camera to the DVD. Now I don't live in fear that if my video camera breaks or goes missing so does all of our memories. It was a pleasure working with Robert and I was very happy with the finished product. Snow on the ground.. Red was the color of the day. A Wonderful ceremony at Scott & Marion's home in New York, followed by a reception at the Kittle House in Mount Kisco, NY.

Charleston-Barbados Connection.. My Odyssey.

Who in their right minds would drive to Florida and back in the middle of winter. We did and we missed BOTH storms. We had made the day trips to Boston/Philadelphia and Washington, but never the Big one.

Friends had invited us to visit in Jupiter, so we decided to drive. We made the journey south a 5 day jaunt with stops in Colonial Williamsburg, Charleston,S.C., Saint Augustine and Miami.

As we headed south the first storm headed East.

Colonial Williamsburg, fascinating place.. Charleston, SC. A wonderful town filled with old world charm.

Charleston..A little personal history. Ever since arriving on these shores, 30 years ago this month, Charleston has always been a place that I needed to visit. I am 4th generation Barbadian. My ancestors left England/Ireland in the 17th Century for Barbados. Some of those families, Drayton, Gibbes, Knowles Manning, Bonnett, later left Barbados for Charles Towne, as it was called then.
(Steve Bonnett would later become a famous pirate and the Pearl would not be just a ship in a movie but was an actual British Frigate used to capture Blackbeard!) These family names are still in existence today both in Charleston and Barbados.

South Beach, Miami... We arrived on superbowl thursday and it was alot of fun to people watch.

Why the car? We are 3rd time repeat VW passatt owners. I thought it might be fun to show the car in various locales for vw and to write about the how great a car it is drive to long distances.

On our return, we had a a 48hr window. We drove back back with one overnight. We arrived back on monday, the storm hit wednesday night. A wonderful trip.. We drove 3100 miles and used 102 gallons of gas.

Another wonderful wedding in December.. What a neat couple, and they really enjoyed themselves from the get go...Even with the snow, we had eventually around 6-8 inches in Westchester county, NY.. During college, if you were to ask any student if they have had a favorite or even just memorable professor, it’s safe to say that almost all of them will say yes and then launch into a lecture about what it was that made him or her in such awe of this glorified educator. My senior year of college, I was privy to one such professor that without a doubt made our class chuckle at one point or another during the course of the class.
One of the first days of the semester, after the syllabus had been handed out and reviewed (enough to make anyone sorry they could read), my professor broached the subject of papers and the proper etiquette in which they should be handed to her. She specified that all papers should be stapled and not paper-clipped because paper-clips were “horny little bastards,” and like to get stuck together and it was a pain in the ass to undo them. The whole class began to giggle after looking at one another just to make sure we had heard her correctly. “Horny Little Bastards”? Did I mention she had prefaced this by saying that this could in fact be used as useless cocktail party trivia. Imagine confabulating about that!

Twenty Ten.. what a great ring to the number.

In my travels, and I don't advocate this way of shooting... my iphone camera is perfect to capture quick scenics from the the driver's side!!!

This was taken a week ago, dont know what shutter speed, it's slow but a few tweaks in post and we came up with this. taken along the 1-84 corridor just after the Milford exit, travelling westbound.
