Barbados....And Beyond

They say that whenever you return from Barbados, you
always bring back a piece of the island back with you.

For me, return trips to Barbados are always special.. it is the land of my
birth, the land of my dad and the land of his mother, her family name, the Manning's
have been on the island since the 17th century.

So this trip, a visit to spend time with family and friends was indeed special.

We saw a game of polo, now the island has three polo fields,  went swimming with the turtles on El Tigre, captained by my cousin Nick Knowles. el tigre cruises

New Year's Eve with old time friends was truly special, thank you

And spent an afternoon at the Crane... WOW!!!

As a youngster, sundays would often be spent on the Crane beach, most of the time in the sea.

The beach and vista remain but the "new" Crane is now present.

All in all, a wonderful trip, but many thanks must go to my sister Alison and husband, Steve, who very kindly let us stay with them for two weeks on the west coast of Barbados in January!
